Gillian is interested in using qualitative research and evidence synthesis to provide insights into health care. 

Gillian has skills in literature review, qualitative research methods including participant observation, survey design and semi-structured interview using both audio and video methods as well as thematic analysis.

With a background in web project management and, more recently, in social science research Gillian has worked on academically led projects including the design and due process of court building, collaborative public sector and community development, rural heritage and citizen engagement in a European funded smart city project.

Gillian also has a PhD in Human Geography which investigated the meaning places have for people and how people engage with places in the context of visitors to a range of National Trust sites.
