Simon’s work is focused on developing strategy and the people needed to deliver it. He is particularly interested in supporting individuals and teams to innovate in response to the challenges they face and improving public involvement in decision-making. He enjoys using coaching to help leaders navigate ambiguity, build a strategy and make progress on key issues, whilst supporting them to develop and become more effective in their roles.
His clients have included commissioners, commissioning support units, healthcare providers and regional/national bodies. His training and practice as a doctor have given him practical insight into the realities of frontline delivery in the acute sector and community. Subsequent roles in NHS commissioning, management consultancy and education have built his skills in supporting the process of translating strategy into change.
