Francis specialises in dataset preparation and cleaning with both quantitative and qualitative datasets, and in geospatial analysis through the application of mapping techniques. Before joining the Strategy Unit, Francis worked as a data analyst specialising in maternity services at an acute NHS Trust, after several years developing his analytical, coding and report-writing skills in roles in the charity sector and in local government. He brings a breadth of experience, having also worked as a children’s and youth worker in the voluntary sector and as a university lecturer. Francis is an active member of the NHS-R Community.
