• Hoi Ying is a Research Assistant in the Evaluation team. She holds both a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Research in Psychology from the University of Bath. Through her studies, she developed a foundation in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. 

    Hoi Ying is interested in the intersection of health and behaviour. Her work has explored evaluation of interventions for people with long-term health conditions, quality of life, as well as addressing health inequalities. She is keen to apply her research skills to support evidence-informed decision making and improving population health and social outcomes.

  • During her time at the University of Bath, Hoi Ying contributed to academic research and supported ongoing studies within the Department of Psychology. This allowed her to gain hands-on research experience. Following her studies, she joined the Civil Service as a social researcher where she supported evaluation projects aimed at informing policy and improving public services.
    In her current role within the Strategy Unit, Hoi Ying is continuing to apply her research and evaluation skills to support evidence-based decision-making across a range of health service programmes.
