  • Claire is an experienced project manager within the NHS. She specialises in designing and delivering mixed‑methods evaluations and research across a variety of health and care settings. She works closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure that evidence is turned into practical insights that support improvement.

  • Claire has delivered a wide range of projects with diverse participant groups and stakeholders. Before joining the Strategy Unit, she worked in academic and consultancy roles focused on health and care research and evaluation, as well as in strategic commissioning within the NHS. She holds an MSc in Public Health from University College London and a PhD in healthy ageing from Durham University. 

     Recent projects at the Strategy Unit include:  

    • Project manager for research into the experience of people on NHS elective care waiting lists, with a focus on, to inform new policy development 
    • Project manager for a process and impact evaluation of NHS mental health rough sleeping services  
    • Project manager for a process evaluation of a programme to increase diversity in research participation in England
