Having started her career as an NHS clinician, Katie has developed extensive experience in research and evaluation across academic, public sector and consultancy settings. This has given her a broad understanding of health and social care systems and the complexities of delivering improvement across organisational boundaries.
Katie has worked across a wide range of areas, including mental health, older people's health and wellbeing, patient safety, public health improvement, health protection, and health inequalities. She has led the evaluation of multiple national NHS programmes and strategies, and has particular expertise in mixed methods evaluation and the design, delivery and management of qualitative and quantitative research.
A common thread throughout Katie's work is her commitment to reducing health inequalities and working collaboratively with communities, practitioners and partners to improve outcomes.
