• YiWen has expertise in programming using Python, particularly in the use of machine learning algorithms for natural language processing. She has a particular interest in explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and in writing reproducible, open source code.

  • YiWen has over 10 years’ experience in information management in the higher education and healthcare sectors. Since switching careers into data science, she has worked on open-source projects within the NHS. She is also an experienced educator, and has taught information skills and data science to a variety of different audiences.
