Until now, there’s been no consistent, transparent model to guide hospital planning.
Our demand model provides an evidence-based framework to transform how the UK plans healthcare infrastructure. It supports smarter public spending, better patient access and outcomes, and helps build a resilient, future-ready NHS.
Award-winning
Awarded the Florence Nightingale Award for Excellence in Health and Care Analytics. Recognising analytics that have gone the extra mile in delivering innovative improvements for the UK’s health
A nationally consistent approach
Provides a standardised approach nationally to modelling and mitigation allowing benchmarking against national trends, peers, and expert opinions. Users can tailor the model to local service transformation plans.
State of the art modelling
Incorporates over 100 adjustable parameters covering demography, activity trends, mitigations and more to generate a range of possible futures (e.g. population ageing, digital outpatient shifts, tackling health inequalities).
Data driven
Built on 140 million anonymised patient records, the model retains individual-level granularity while enabling system-wide analysis, reflecting real world uncertainty and complexity.
Transforming healthcare planning
Trusted and used by 18 hospitals and now informing national policy for NHS England and DHSC including planning for the shift to neighbourhood health required by the 10 Year Plan.
Open & transparent
Built by the NHS for the NHS. Our code is freely available and fully documented. Setting a new precedent for transparency in NHS analytics, reducing duplication and improving learning across systems.
